Megan is an amazing teacher! She has a wealth of knowledge and a heart of compassion. She teaches the importance of embodying both the anatomy and movement of somatics as well as the sacredness of BEing. It was a true gift to do an in person course with her. I look forward to continue learning embody somatic movement awareness in my personal life and my practice.
I struggle to find yoga facilitators that touch on the subtle currents of the practice as well as stay current with the progression of where anatomy, biomechanics and movement science are going. Megan skillfully weaves and balances these topics with a nurturing and calming energy.
It´s been amazing being part of this course, a holistic approach to life, the body and universe. I´ve been to therapists, attended different yoga classes, qi gong, ayurvedic classes, stress rehabs, spiritual events and tried other alternative approaches to gain more self awareness, ease my pain, getting more knowledge on my way back to life. And of course they have been helpful in many ways but this is something else.
Having no former experience with Somatics I was open to see what it was all about. I've taught several modalities of Yoga over the past 25 years. I was frustrated with the difficulty some of my students experienced in traditional vinyasa. Megan's course was far and away more than I could have expected. Her attention to detail as far as combining anatomy and purposeful movement was invaluable. Her sessions were filled with personal experience,thoughtful guidance and years of training. Her wisdom has already made a huge difference in how I conduct my classes and I can see the results of Somatic movement making a huge difference in my student's well being both physically and mentally.
